We are back with monthly updates (first Monday, of the month)—

The Good

  1. Our first batch has been fully placed apart from one student who is still going through the process with salaries ranging from 15,000 INR to 35,000 INR.
  2. Mobilization for the second batch is now at a full swing, with Rishabh spending all his energies on it. Mobilized 4 girls, and 4 boys to join in last 10 days.
  3. Partnered with HaqDarshak for making students aware of our offering so that they can directly apply to us. Also, working with many other NGOs to mobilize quickly (We need to mobilize about 42 more students).
  4. We have launched two more courses — Android (managed by a good friend — Suhaib Roomy), and Data Analytics (managed by Rajeev Jha, Progressive Programming). We are in conversation to start a small course on Mental Health, which can lead to the larger one year course.
  5. Partnered with IIT Delhi’s NEN course, to get volunteers starting next semester to work on more courses in parallel.
  6. We have launched our first version of Alumni Support Program — Fortnightly life coaching sessions by Lekh (https://www.linkedin.com/in/lekhbajaj). Helping our alumni in their journeys is a critical step in the long term.
  7. We have shifted to using Zoho CRM to manage our data more effectively.

The Bad

  1. For our girls’ batch starting on 21st December, we still haven’t been able to arrange laptops.
  2. We are still looking to close the position of hiring a female facilitator for the girls’ batch. We went through some iterations in what we were looking for, leading to the delay.

The Ugly

  1. We are still stuck with our 80G application. It significantly impacts our ability to raise money.

Thank you for reading through. Would love to discuss or brainstorm on any of these points.

Edit: We got 80G certificate today. Thanks all for offering help in obtaining the certificate, we are lucky to get it within a year of our registration.
